Mark your calendars for a special evening of culinary celebration as Epazote honors Mexican Independence Day on September 16th! From 5 PM onwards, we invite you to join us for an unforgettable dining experience that pays homage to the rich lavors and history of Mexican cuisine.

In the spirit of this festive occasion, we are delighted to present a limited-time prix-fixe menu that showcases a selection of traditional dishes, crafted to offer a taste of Mexico’s diverse and delectable culinary heritage.

The Special Prix-Fixe Menu

Here’s a sneak peek at what you can expect:

Appetizer: Crema de Huitlacoche ( Dive into the richness of *Crema de Huitlacoche*, a velvety corn fungus soup that embodies the essence of Mexican comfort food. Huitlacoche is also known as corn mushroom or mexican corn truffle)

Entrees: Choose from an array of mouthwatering options:

Pick one (1st course):

- *Tamale de Rajas con Queso*: Savory tamales filled with roasted poblano peppers and cheese topped with salsa verde or roja

- *Tamale de Pollo con Mole Rojo*: Savory tamales filled with chicken coated in a rich red mole sauce and topped with more mole sauce

- *Sope*: Also known as “picaditas”, circle shaped corn masa with crimped edges creating a bowl to hold all the toppings. Comes with your choice of protein topped with lettuce, sour cream, cotija cheese, tomato and a side of rice and beans

Pick one (2nd course):

- *Pozole Rojo*: Hearty red pork soup traditional in Mexico with lettuce, radish, onion, cilantro, lime, oregano, spice served on the side to add to your preference, sour cream and crispy tostadas

- *Mixiote de Pollo*:  Chicken marinated in adobo with cactus and potatoes then wrapped in Magey leaves steamed and folded to be served in individual packets

- *Mix de hongos en adobo al pastor*: Mix of mushrooms in adobo sauce

Dessert:

- *Churros Tradicionales*: Crispy, cinnamon-sugar-coated churros, a quintessential Mexican dessert

- *Homemade Flan*: A recipe that has been in the Carrasco Family for decades, our flan is a silky, caramel custard that’s a true crowd-pleaser

- *Homemade Tres Leches Cake*: A rich, moist cake soaked in three types of milk for an indulgent finish
